We are so excited to walk you through how to set up a lesson with us. We are so excited to have a brand new lesson scheduling software which gives you as a family the ability to schedule lessons that work for you!
The above Red link takes you directly to our scheduling platform. When you first go to the scheduling platform you can set up a family account. Once your profile is created you can add riders to your profile. Once your riders are created you can start looking into days and times that work best for your family!
Our lessons are booked by the lesson time and the horse that you will be riding. This allows riders to book the horses they feel most comfortable on so they can continue to learn and grow, and it allows you to book the time slot that works best for your family as well.
Once your lessons are booked if something comes up. Life Happens. Please use the booking platform to reschedule or cancle your lessons. This gives you as the family the ability to reschedule or cancle as needed if something comes up. It also notifies our staff that scheduling has changed so we can make sure that we have the correct number of instructors to handle the riders we have scheduled.
Break down of how our lessons work
When you first are starting lessons are larger chunk of our time goes into grooming, tacking up and learning the basics of steering. Then once your ride time is done you will then untack, groom or hose off your horse and feed them treats. Lessons last for approximatly an hour and a half weather and rider permitted.
As your lessons continue and you start to get more advanced, grooming and tacking up come quicker which then lengthens your actual riding time. Learning the foundations and how to do everything yourself teaches you to notice the little things that seem off with your lesson horse as well as if something doesnt look correct with your lesson tack. All of this matters long term for your safety when it comes to riding horses.
Whether you are riding on a trail ride through the mountains or into the ocean you understand what your tack should look like, how to adjust your stirrups, make sure your girth is tightened and make sure everything is put on correctly which helps keep you as safe as possible when riding. Or if you end up leasing or purchasing a horse of your own. This allows you to be able to purchase, maintance and take care of your own tack as well as help out other riders in the future.
